About Angie Simeonidou

The artist captures personal stories on canvas, inspired by everyday life. Her positive attitude is expressed in a feast of color, while the tempo of her paintings is delivered from her love of Jazz music. Stories, thoughts, relationships produce forms and compositions often with vague forms, or with descriptive sharpness and colors that function symbolically.

“Painting is a study, a journey into the world of our emotions and a constant search of how to express ourselves the best we can with the media we have on canvas, paper, or elsewhere - but it is certainly a form of communication. It is my dream that comes to life with form, lines, and colors through the eyes of the viewer. My inspiration are human relationships, music, the sea, a poem or a movie scene: they are the trigger and challenge for a search on a dream trip.” Angie Simeonidou
